I love how more and more gen z are deciding to live their life by the Realistic Optimist philosophy. Understanding that life DOES suck, and then making the conscious choice to try and make it suck a little less. Understanding that no one is really 'special', but that's okay because you weren't born to be the best, you were born to live and find happiness. Knowing that while the people in power may be corrupt, most humans are kind. Knowing that the human spirit has preserved through so many catastrophes, that this like all things will pass.

ethan winters is actually the funniest guy ever i've decided. hes managed to face hundreds of terrifying monsters and take down extremely powerful bioweapons and yet he is so deeply uncool he cant even be a real proper normalguy power fantasy. he laughs at his own one liners. his competence in combat is almost unbelievable, like every encounter turns in his favor based on luck alone. his hands keep getting chopped off. he just puts them back on. he is so, so scared. he's a systems engineer. he's from la. his primary personality trait is Being Married. i think he can digging in the ground for tubers
ANTI-CAPITALIST AFFIRMATIONS
- i am allowed to spend my time creating things, even if they are not beautiful.
- there is no such thing as a "real job." all forms of work are real and valid.
- there is nothing that i need to accomplish to be worthy. i am already worthy.
- doing nothing is good for my soul.
- i am not defined by what i produce.
- my worth cannot be measured by my paycheck, my job title, or a list of professional or academic achievements.
- i do not need to monetize my hobbies, it is enough to spend time doing something i love.
- i will not let society decide what success looks like. i can define what successful life looks like for me.
